After a long day of sightseeing, a Vietnamese head spa in Saigon at Tong Gia is a quiet way to end it: the District 12 branch at 225 Duong Thi Muoi Street is open 8:00 to 20:00 and the Vinhomes Grand Park branch in Thu Duc City is open 9:00 to 20:00, every day. The 45-minute Vietnamese herbal head spa is 150,000 VND (about $6), and the 60-minute head spa with neck and shoulder massage is 250,000 VND (about $10).

This guide is for visitors who have spent the day on their feet in the heat and want to know what happens once they lie down.

Why a head spa suits the end of a sightseeing day

A day of walking around Saigon tends to leave the same marks: hair damp with sweat, a forehead that has been squinting into the sun, and a neck that has been bent over maps and screens. A head spa is gentler than a full-body massage. You lie on your back, your hair is washed with warm water and herbs, and most of the work happens around the scalp, temples and the back of the head. You leave with clean hair, ready for dinner.

Getting there and timing your evening

Neither branch is in the city centre, so plan the ride. If you are staying on the northwest side of the city or near Go Vap, Hoc Mon or Tan Binh, the District 12 branch near Tan Chanh Hiep market is the closer one (map). If you are on the eastern side, near Thu Duc, Long Binh or Long Thanh My, head to Unit T16-21, The Manhattan, Vinhomes Grand Park (map).

Both branches close at 20:00, and the session has to finish by then. That means starting a 45-minute head spa by about 19:15, or a 60-minute one by 19:00. Evenings fill up first, so message WhatsApp or Zalo on +84 888 264 559 in the morning with the branch, the time and the option you want.

Stage by stage: what you will feel

Arriving. Come as you are, sunscreen, sweat and all. There is nothing to prepare; the wash is the service.

A short look before anything starts. The technician takes a moment to notice how you hold your head and shoulders and how tired your face looks. This habit comes from the founder, Lương Y Tống Văn Huynh, a traditional Vietnamese wellness master with more than 13 years in the craft, who uses face and posture reading to suggest which areas deserve more time. It is observation to guide the session, not a health assessment.

Lying back. You settle on the bed with your head resting over the basin. Many people only notice how stiff their neck is once it stops holding up their head.

The temples. This is the moment in the photo above: both thumbs resting on your temples, pressing and holding. After hours of squinting, the pressure feels dull and spreading rather than sharp.

The scalp. Fingertips press and circle across the scalp while the other hand holds your head steady, then both sides of the head are worked in an even, unhurried rhythm.

Warm water and herbs. The wash and rinses come in between the massage. Say “warmer” or “cooler” whenever you like; the technician will ask anyway.

Neck and shoulders, if you booked 60 minutes. Kneading moves down the neck and across the tops of the shoulders, which is where carrying a day bag tends to show up.

Which option after a long day

Option VND About USD
Vietnamese herbal head spa, 45 min 150,000 6
Head spa + neck and shoulder massage, 60 min 250,000 10
Head care session, 60 min 750,000 29

If your head is the only thing that feels tired, 45 minutes is enough. If your shoulders ache from a backpack or a day of photos, choose the 60-minute version. The head care session is a slower, more detailed hour of acupoint work focused entirely on the head. Every retail price is on the prices page, and the service itself is described on the Vietnamese head spa page.

Afterwards

Sit up slowly. Drink some water, bring a hair tie if your hair is long, and keep the next hour easy. If you have a scalp condition, a recent head or neck injury, or you are pregnant, see a licensed physician before booking and mention it to the technician when you arrive.

FAQ

Can I go straight from sightseeing without showering first? Yes. Your hair is washed during the session, so there is no need to clean up beforehand.

What is the latest I can start a head spa in the evening? Both branches close at 20:00. Start the 45-minute head spa by about 19:15 and the 60-minute version by 19:00.

Is a head spa very different from a full massage? It is gentler and stays mostly around the head, with the neck and shoulders added in the 60-minute version.

Do both Saigon branches offer the same head spa? Yes. District 12 and Vinhomes Grand Park follow the same method and charge the same retail prices.

This is a wellness service, not medical care.
